S2E6: Apostle Martha's Testimony

Friday, October 16, 2020

Welcome to S2E6 of Martha's Talk!

In today's episode, we are going to speak about my testimony of Jesus Christ and the grace of God. While some know me as Tasha, God changed my name to Martha. He also called me to be an Apostle. This simply means, that he commissioned me to go wherever he sends me to preach or teach the gospel, in truth and in love. Martha's Talk is a talk show in which I share the love of Christ for humanity, in Spirit and in Truth.

In today's episode we are going to go over:

Focus scriptures:
  • Acts 22:14-15  “Then he (Ananias) said: ‘The God of our ancestors has chosen you (Saul, who we now call Paul) to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth. You will be his witness to all people of what you have seen and heard."

    • God the Father chose the Apostle Paul - it's a calling, we cannot self appoint ourselves
    • To know God's will
    • To see the Righteous One (Jesus Christ)
    • To hear words from Jesus's mouth
    • You will be a witness to all people of what you have seen and heard
    • Recommended: 1 Corinthians 12:4-6
Before I start my testimony of how I became a born-again believer and my journey with God the Father, Christ, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, it's important for you to understand what an apostle is, as it will help you better understand my testimony.

What is an apostle?

An apostle of God is one chosen by God the Father to go where ever he sends them to. Basically, a missionary; btw not all missionaries are apostles. One of an apostle responsibility is to be a witness about Jesus Christ. Note: All believers are called to witness by how they live for Jesus Christ. (Matthew 5:16). However, apostolic witnessing, has a bit more authority. How an apostle of God witness about Jesus Christ, will be different even among apostles. For example: The way that the 12 apostles witnessed is different then how the Apostle Paul and Barnabas witnessed. Why? Because the Apostle Paul and Barnabas became apostles after Jesus's resurrection. Thus, we know that Paul saw the resurrected Christ, Jesus and not Jesus Christ while he was living on earth. Likewise, the way I witness as an apostle of God differs then how the Apostle Paul and Barnabas witnessed.

In addition, to being a witness about Christ, Jesus, an apostle of God,  is able to do all other five leadership gifts (e.g. apostle, prophet, teacher, evangelist, and pastor). By reading Hebrews 3:1 we know that Jesus Christ is thee Apostle, and we also know by reading the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) that Jesus taught, prophesied, healed & delivered (evangelism), shepherded, and governed/governs. Reference text: Hebrews 3:1, Ephesians 4:1-20, 1 Corinthians 12:28-30

God's apostleship calling for my life:

By reading John 1:47-52 we can conclude that part of Apostle Nathanael's apostleship, while he was a disciple, was to see in the spirit. From what we read in the other gospels in addition to John, Jesus did not tell any of the other apostles that they would see angels in the spirit descending and ascending. Most of us talk in the spirit, as God will (see Acts 2:4). In addition, to that, the apostleship assigned to me, is like Nathanael's, meaning I see in the spirit, as God will (1 Corinthians 12:5-10). However, I also feel in the spirit, as God will.
    • Examples:
      • Living water (John 4:14, John 7:38) - I literally feel the living water in my spirit (near my tummy/heart)
      • Holy Spirit's fire (Matthew 3:11, Psalm 39:3) - I've been healed by this fire, delivered, and also protected by it.
        • Deliverance - I am in a very unique season, for lack of a better word (I will explain).
      • Anointing oil - There are different reasons anointing oil is used in the bible (e.g. for healing & deliverance, for holiness (consecration), for appointment, etc). However, for me, I know I feel it for fearlessness (I will explain), and I notice that when I do something nice (without thought or reason) for someone else, I feel it. I also feel it, at times, when I am in church, praising & worshiping God.
      • The new birth (John 3) - I literally saw Jesus Christ in the spirit when I was born again, and Jesus blew on me and I received the Holy Spirit that way. I did not know why he blew, until I started to mature in the faith.
      • Deliverance - I saw demons literally leaving my body through my skin. I saw demons partially covering my eyes. I heard a demon leave my ear (loud pop). I heard and felt a demon leave my mouth (loud pop).

1980's-2017: Adolescents - wanting to know God but I did not!

I grew up in the church and although I had a desire to live for God, I did not know how to, nor did I understand the word of God. I did not understand the covenant of grace (Law of the Spirit), I also thought we were under the Law of Moses, and I was scared of reading Exodus because I thought God was a dictator (one who takes control by force), and that if we even sneezed the wrong way that we were hell-bound. Thus, my misunderstanding of God and the word of God, led me to backsliding for most of my adolescents. From what I can remember, I never heard a church sermon growing up about being baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and Jesus Christ, nor did I hear anything about the Holy Spirit and his help, and comfort. If I did, I did not understand what the ministers were talking about.

2000 (approx): On the way to heaven

      • So in love with God
      • Read the bible daily
      • Evangelized (not even realizing that is what I was doing)
      • Loved people unconditional, despite semi-harsh life experiences
      • Lots of spiritual warfare (demonic attacks)

2017: On the way to hell

      • False religion - Going to church because I knew it was the right thing to do, making time to read the bible because I knew it was the right thing to do but I had no relationship with God. I did things that Christians did but I did not know God because I did not realize there was more to know. I saw the relationship as impersonal.
      • Severe attacks on my health
      • The grace and mercy of God saved my life from hell
      • December 2017, NDE in outer darkness in hell, a day or two before my thyroidectomy.

2018: May 19, 2018 I accepted Jesus Christ as Lord but this time I received the promise of the Holy Spirit

      • I saw Jesus Christ in the spirit and he blew on me
      • I heard a voice (God the Father) ask me why I wanted to stay on earth? The only reason I could give is because of my dad. I did not know God's plan for my life then, nor did I understand Christianity, like I do now because I was newly born-again.
      • By July 2018, Jesus Christ kept telling me to "shepherd his people and to teach his people how to live for him." I had no idea what a shepherd was. Once I found out that it meant a pastor, I thought oh no. Btw, now I know that when shepherd is used by God, it's used either to mean pastor or a leader (political leader or another five-fold office). At this point, I did not even know how to live for Jesus Christ.
      • By November 2018, I had no peace in my heart or mind because I ignored Jesus Christ calling. I thought, no way am I going to quit my job, without a plan b. However, I eventually quit my job once I realized that it was the Holy Spirit who told me to quit my job and get my MBA.
      • By December 1, 2018 I was jobless with no back-up plan, and I was in school via the leading of the Holy Spirit to get my MBA.
      • By the end of December 2018 I finally listened to the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ to create a channel on YouTube and speak about the bible "Shepherd God's people and teach God's people how to live for Jesus Christ."
      • Through out 2018 and 2019, Jesus Christ via the Holy Spirit would say "many people will be saved because of Jesus's love in me, and my love for Jesus Christ." I had no idea what that meant, and back then I did not know that it would also mean that I'd be persecuted for righteousness sake.
2019: The year of trials and tribulations (God's grace teaches me the truth)
      • Justifying (explaining) myself to people, trying to convince them that I was and am in God's will.
      • Trials & tribulations to get me to renounce the bad doctrine that I was taught.
      • By June of 2019, I was promoted to stand in the office of an prophet

2020: The year of God's grace (God's grace saved me from physical death), and the year of growing in love

      • December 2019, I asked God, what he wanted me to pray for 2020. His words were grace for my life and love.
      • By March of 2020, I was promoted to stand in the office of an apostle. The office of an apostle had been what I was called by God to do since birth, but I had to be trained to be an apostle, much like the Apostle Paul (see 1 Timothy 2:7, 2 Timothy 1:11). Thus, there were seasons when I taught, seasons when I evangelized, seasons when I pastored (counseled), and seasons when I prophesied.
      • June 2020 Martha's Talk - Evangelism via teaching (administer faith, and set the captive souls free)
      • June 2020-September 2020 spiritual warfare (attacked by the rulers of darkness) God the Father warned me in advanced that I'd be attacked and the he would give me the grace to overcome and that he will prove that his allegiance is with me.
      • September 2020 to now - The word of faith movement does not promote faith but promote falsehood
      • October 2020 - We are here

What must I do to have a relationship with Jesus Christ?
Major correction: We need faith for the gift of righteousness, but not for grace. We receive the gift of righteousness by God's free grace, through our faith in Jesus. In another video (S2E7) I made a mistake and said, we access God's grace through our faith. I want to make sure that in this episode, I did not say the wrong thing . Again, we access the gift of righteousness by God's grace and our faith in Jesus Christ. Read Romans 5.
